Kimberly Logan
With over 30 years of being a Licensed Practical Nurse and 17 years as an Assisted Living Facility Administrator, Kim is dedicated to providing compassionate and purpose-driven care. Her journey began in long-term care, with specialized interests in wound care, hospice care, and sub-acute nursing. In 2003, she joined the assisted living sector as a Clinical Care Director and obtained her Administrator’s license in 2008. In 2022, she became a certified Dementia Practitioner to assist in improving care for the dementia population.
Kim’s career path spans from floor nursing, being a Clinical Care Director, a Hospice Administrator, and an Area Director of Operations for ALG Assisted Living, to her current role as an Executive Director at Heritage Green Assisted Living. Throughout each position, her mission remains the same: to be a source of light and comfort to her residents.
Kim has a passion for mentorship. Her desire is to produce mature, developed, and well-balanced individuals by teaching, training, encouraging, and uplifting her team members. In 2024, Kim broadened her scope in assisted living by obtaining an Assisted Living Preceptor’s license, which allows her to mentor upcoming leaders in the industry.
She is married to Jay A. Logan and has two amazing children, Darius and Danielle, along with a loving daughter-in-law, Padishia, and two sweet grandsons, Judah Christian and Eli Jireh. Kim loves Jesus and communicates that He is the reason for her success. As a worshipper at heart, she brings an inspiring message of hope to all who cross her path.
Zakiyah Pannell
Zakiyah Pannell, LPN, Resident Care Director, is a Gretna, Virginia native who has been a nurse for since 2012. She has worked in Long Term Care for all her nursing career. She has two children, Brent and ZaRyah with her husband Bart. Her hobbies include watching her son play basketball and watching her daughter dance and traveling with her family. She truly believes that being a nurse is her calling from God and is honored to serve your family members in any way. Zakiyah just received her license as an Assisted Living Administrator. Zakiyah enjoys caring for her residents and treats them as if they are her own family. She has happily been a part of the Heritage Green family since 2020.
Misty Barret
Misty has worked in the health care field for over 25 years and has a passion for working with the elderly and their families. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and is UAI certified. She has worked with dementia residents/patients throughout her entire career. Misty and her husband Heath have lived in Forest, VA since 2017. They are proud parents of twin boys, Jacob and Will, and their daughter, Madelyn. In her spare time, Misty enjoys trips to the beach and is an avid animal lover. Misty is passionate and eager in helping you and your loved ones find their new home at Heritage Green Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Clarissa Chapman
Clarissa, “Coco” Chapman, Marketing Associate, is a Virginia native who has worked at Heritage Green since 2007 and has been in healthcare for 31 years. She has three adult children, David (Lynchburg), Warren (Indiana), and Heaven (Chicago IL). Coco is a Certified Dementia Practitioner who facilitates the monthly Memory Care Support Group, she assists with volunteer recruiting & event planning & decorating. Working with the elderly is one of her biggest passions ever! She enjoys engaging with residents and the extended families of Heritage Green on a regular basis , to ensure they have the best quality of life at their new Heritage Green “home”.
Graham Wilson
Graham has 25 years restaurant experience with over 15 years as a professional Chef. His passion is for great food and southern style home cooking. Graham’s motto is cook from the heart. He moved from Connecticut to Lynchburg in March of 2018. He and his wife have two daughters, two cats and one dog. Hobbies include, range time, painting nails, braiding hair and cooking. Graham loves traditional Italian family style food and is also trained in classic French Cuisine, Sushi, and foods from around the world. Graham says, “I am happy to be here serving you and your families good quality home cooking with love.”
Lozetta Browley
Lozetta Browley is the Business Office Director for Heritage Green Assited Living Lynchburg.
Lozetta has worked in healthcare her entire adult life, holding positions in housekeeping, behavioral health, hospice, billing, and LTC, to name a few. She has always had a passion to help others.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Averett University. She plans to further her education to become an Long Term Care Administrator in the near future. Lozetta is the mother of 3 adult children, 11 grandchildren and adopted 2 autistic boys in 2019. Her life has been challenging but great, as being a mother and grandmother.
Lozetta stated, “Heathcare is so very rewarding and I am glad I chose this career.”
Cortney Miller
Cortney Miller, Resident Life Director, is a native of Gretna, Virginia. This is Cortney’s first time in the healthcare industry; however, she has a passion for helping people. She is a people person and strives to put smiles on every resident’s face. Cortney is always ready to have FUN. She has so many new and fresh ideas for our residents. She offers DIFFERENT, her motive is do something the residents haven’t done. Wowing the residents is a MUST. The residents took a liking to her in no time and love every minute of activity time. Cortney always says, “I never would have thought I would be here doing anything like this, but here I am, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT here”. In her spare time, she has her own business where she is a private chef/caterer, the name of her company is Rich Man’s Dog, LLC. She takes pride in catering to the needs of those that need her.
Burak Gezen
Dr. Burak Gezen is one of Lynchburg’s finest physicians and he has a passion for adult and elderly care. Burak has 15 years of healthcare experience and is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. He graduated Medical school from Virginia Commonwealth University, attended Northwestern Medicine for Residency, and finished his Fellowship at Cooke County Hospital. Since finishing, he has worked as a hospitalist at Centra Health for the past 5 years since moving to Lynchburg from Chicago where he previously practiced. He loves being around residents and their families and helping all feel comfortable.
Emily Bradley
Emily was born in Farmville, VA but has lived in Lynchburg for the past 15 years. She started her career in healthcare at age 21 at Heritage Green as a CNA and then went on to work as a Registered Medication Aide for seven years at a nearby Assisted Living Facility. Emily then trained and worked as a Care Plan Coordinator for a couple years and worked as a Resident Care Coordinator in the Bedford, VA area. In 2024 she graduated Liberty University with her Bachelor’s of Social Work and worked with a re-entry program in Roanoke area jails. She began looking for a position closer to Lynchburg and was offered a position as Memory Care Life Enrichment Director at Heritage Green and decided to come HOME. Emily’s passion for loving and advocating for people is evident in all her work. She has a total of 12 years experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and considers her current position a true ministry of love. She is currently working on finishing her Master’s of Social Work at Liberty University. To Emily, her residents are family!
